Aerosmith Cancels Concert in Ukraine Because of Civil Unrest in the CountryFriday, June 20th, 2014 by Music News Group Aerosmith‘s European tour unfortunately won’t be a-rollin’ into the Ukrainian capital of Kiev next month as originally planned. The concert’s promoters have announced that the July 2 show has been canceled because of the violent political upheaval in the country. A statement from National Corporation of Entertainment explains, “It is impossible to produce this show in Ukraine while there is civil war. We can’t ensure safety to the artists, crew and the audience. We can’t ensure safety of the equipment. We’re facing many economic and technical difficulties and in a state of civil war those difficulties are impossible to resolve.” The organizers add that they “are very sorry” about having to cancel the event, while noting that they “did our best to present the show in Kiev.” Lastly, the promoters say they hope Aerosmith will be able to return to the country “at some time in the future when there is peace and more stability.” Arrangements are being made to provide ticketholders with refunds. Aerosmith’s European trek now will wrap up with a June 28 concert in London. The rock legends then will return to North America, where they’ll kick off a new leg on July 10 in Wantagh, New York, with Slash Featuring Miles Kennedy and the Conspirators as the opening act. www.101gold.com/2014/06/20/aerosmith-cancels-concert-in-ukraine-because-of-civil-unrest-in-the-country/

Yeah. This was bound to happen when they postponed it originally, I think.

Sad. Hopefully things eventually settle down and they can return there someday. They gotta go back to Turkey too!
On the bright side, this should give them an extra day or two to rehearse for the U.S. tour. Hopefully they take advantage!
