That is brutal. I feel like if this was Bon Jovi, they would play a 30-song set filled with gems to make up for it.

I was at this show and the thing that made it 1000 times worse is during the encore they were supposed to play Edge...hardly a great song but 1000 times better than IDWTMAT. Then Steven comes out in a pink dress and while Joe is starting to play Edge Steven stops him and tells everyone he has his pink dress on so they have to play IDWTMAT...I don't think Joe or anyone else in the band or the crowd was happy about that and it was after that when I got up and gave Steven the middle finger and yelled out "You suck!" along with some expletives as loud as I could and left. That was the only time I ever left an Aerosmith show or any other concert early. I also know as I was walking out I had a lot of people around me that were leaving and sharing my sentiments. I vowed that this would be my last Aerosmith show I ever would go to but I ended up going back on that vow.
Another thing that pissed me off was that was the show they offered hometown fans a chance to get a backstage tour for a reduced price (but still way too much)and when we were at the horrible barbecue they had for us (yeah, food was half cooked and lousy) they announced that because the movie crew didn't want fans running around backstage messing with their equipment we wouldn't be getting our tour. Fat Tom made that announcement and then ran as fast as his fat ass could take him out of the tent area leaving the women Fans Rule employees to take all the heat. We were shouting for refunds and on the way out he said the company was bankrupt and wouldn't be able to give any refunds so we would have to dispute the charges with our credit card companies. Luckily I was able to get my money refunded (my credit card company was in shock when I told them what Fat Tom said) but a lot of other fans weren't. So it was the perfect shit storm which the band has never apologized for and I really don't believe the band cares about.

I was there for that concert... it was horrible, then again I was pretty drunk, so I don't remember too much of it. Other than cryin being recorded for that terrible movie.

When you look at the movie poster you really have to wonder how they made such an awful movie with the cast they had:

That is brutal. I feel like if this was Bon Jovi, they would play a 30-song set filled with gems to make up for it. Yeah, no. We saw Bon Jovi the night that Sambora was served with divorce papers, instead of putting on a regular show they played a good hour set with acoustic guitars and slowed the tempo waaaaaaay down. It was depressing and not fun at all. Bands are subject to off nights but in this case with Aerosmith MGM SHOULD have done the right thing and filmed Cryin' once and then took random band shots/fan reactions of the crowd throughout the night instead of playing the song 3 times. I understand why they did film the song 3 times but it wasn't the right setting to do it in. Certainly a weird moment in rock history that's not widely known about.

And I got a DUI after the show.. Awesome night.... not... Wow, that sucks. I feel your pain though...been there myself. Worst experience of my life. And sucks even more since I was only a hundredth of a percent over the limit.

Wow, you must have really bad luck when it comes to concerts then. Seems every time I've seen Bon Jovi, they've busted out gems, played 25+ songs and do extended encores. The best shows were Soldier Field in 2006 and the last night of three-night stands at the United Center in 2008 and 2011.

The Bon Jovi show was horrible, nothing like Living on a Prayer played with acoustic guitars played that the slow tempo.. ZZZZzzzzzzzz.

I have never seen Bon Jovi live, but a friend of mine did and he said that the tempo is slowed down on all of the songs. I understand doing that if it's a special acoustic show or something, but that shouldn't be the norm.
At least Aerosmith doesn't do that shit.

Tempo seemed 100% normal to me and the energy level and musicianship is excellent. I will say that Lay Your Hands on Me doesn't hold up well anymore though. And Jon doesn't even attempt the screams at the end of Living in Sin. I was also pissed off that Richie Sambora was out last tour. He was in rehab for a 2007 show I saw and it sucked...just not the same without him. I probably won't see another Bon Jovi show until he returns.
