That is so kind and loving of him to not worry about catching lice or dandruff while wearing fan's hats. ( yes I'm a germ freak and have heard dandruff is contagious) ! He never thinks he is better than anyone! Amazing ST!

If the glam looked was in play throughout the entirety of the show, I'd say ditch it. But as an opener it's fabulous. He's just as well known for his flamboyant clothes as he is his personality and voice . . . a trifecta of over-the-top rock 'n' roll right out of the gate. By the end of a show he's ditched half his outfit and looks like a drowned rock rat anyway . . . so you're getting the best of both worlds when all is said and done.
That being said, I'm sure seeing him "normalized" like for Beacon or club crawls has its own appeal, but when it comes to the big shows I expect a big look to go with the big voice up there. I'm just thankful he stopped wearing the spandex onesies in favor of blinged-out jeans and such.
