I've often watched the old forum from afar and really enjoyed some of the banter. I've decided to give it a go. So please be nice ( to start with anyway). I just watched the Ryan seacrest interview and steven was talking about hopefully playing some new songs on the tour. What do people thing- more songs from mfad or actual new songs!

I doubt he means either of those. I could be wrong that he means songs that they haven't played in awhile. That is what I would hope anyway.. I don't even care to see the better songs from MFAD. None of them were that good...

Probably more OH YEAH and whatever those other songs were from that album. I thought it was a decent album at first but I seriously haven't listened to it in over a year. Not one of those that you stop and make a point to listen to.

I really could care less if they play any new stuff JMO. Precious setlist time for music I'm indifferent to. If they have to play a token song let it be Street Jesus or Out Go The Lights.

Joey hash tagged Out Go the Lights when talking about new songs being played, so I'm thinking that one might be a possibility. Then again they made it sound like Woman of the World was going to see daylight last tour but aside from the snippet in Atlanta (I think I screwed up and said jersey last time) it never appeared so who knows.

I hope he meant songs that they haven't played in a long time, if ever. But I got the feeling he meant new, as in MFAD songs. Bart, awesome avatar!

I like both of those songs also, but would rather hear a rare gem like Sight for Sore Eyes, Thighs, Chip Away, Lick & A Promise etc. I'd like to see Slash write the set list for Boston. I'm guessing it would be pretty much 100% old school.

I' wouldn't mind seeing ogtl from mfad but not too bothered about the rest. Woman of the world would be unbelievable but I certainly can't see that happening during their European tour. They played chip away at the stone last time in London and most of the crowd went flat, the same thing happened at wembly in 99 when they played rats and again in Paris when they played SOS. Saw joe perry project play sight for sore eyes and get the lead out and it was fantastic!

I wouldn't mind hearing OTLs. I think it could really work live--maybe even Love XXX could work if they would tear into it with some good guitar tones. But I would agree, old school songs that haven't been played in many years would be great. I would love to hear No Surprize, Write Me, Pandora's Box, Woman of the World, Adam's Apple, among the others listed by the friends here.

^^ Good selection. To all the great ones already listed, I'll add Make It, Cheesecake, Chiquita, Reefer Headed Woman, Round and Round, Let The Music Do The Talking, and Sight For Sore Eyes (again).

Make it would be my choice for an opener. A great message to old school fans for an old school show

I personally don't want to hear ANY song post-Pump. If that means they become a touring band and nostalgia act, then so be it. They simply cannot write R&R anymore (nor can their outside writers), and their old stuff is too great to be polluted by that new shite.

Yep, those songs would be great. imho, Ruts is their most underrated album. That is hard rock at its rawest, and the unpublicized nature of those songs make them even better.

I agree 100%. I know Mirrors gets a lot of love for its rawness, but I hold that Ruts stomps its face into the ground.

Ruts is probably the better of the two for me as well, but I love them both.
