So it appears he punched the officer in the face causing damage from swelling to a shattered eye socket, don't actually know what.
The kid then escaped, not ran for his life, was shot and then came back at the officer who it was said followed procedure and shot until the threat was subdued. Last shot hitting the kid in the head.

Agh...thanks for that! The demonrat governor of that state has already pronounced the cop guilty by saying there needs to be a vigorous prosecution and the Brown family needs justice! The Brown family lawyer asked if he would accept things if the grand jury decided not to indict the police officer and the thug lawyer said, "Oh, they better indict him!"

I know people want to make this only about race. it isn't. It is also about how people are treated by the police. Listen to community leaders. They are looking to change things to have a better relationship with them. They want to work on ways so incidents like what happened that began all all this will not happen again. Where is the other sides response to wanting to do this? Last night, the protests were peaceful and many people went home early ...then some officers put on riot gear (why put it on when there was nothing happening?, think about that.) That was when the bottles were thrown.

I am not anti police...but WHY create a mentality of conflict when there wasn't one at that point? Were they bored? Or is this the mentality of police to be like an army? Maybe instead of arming police like they were confronting enemy combatants in a war, they need to look at ways to work on building better relationships and working together on ways to make sure there are no more incidents like what happened. Dash Cam cameras and cameras on uniforms would have shown what happened. Maybe invest money in this instead of machines of war. This is what community leaders want to work on and raise money for. Also, listen to what Gen. Russel Honore was saying...he is right.

One thing I think both sides want to see is justice served.....

Did the police break into stores,, steal from them,, run out with the goods.. set fire to them..
What were those people doing??

How many times has this happened in your neck-of-the-woods? And was it taken care of with diligence and non-prejudice?

Was this a reason for people to break in to stores and steal items?? Are they gonna pawn the items and donate the money towards the investigation???

We have to face the facts...blacks are genetically inclined to violence. The quicker we stop this politically correct BS and face facts the better we can deal with things. In white neighborhoods where there is just as much poverty and unemployment as black areas we don't see the thuggery that we see in black neighborhoods.

Here is a story of a bunch of blacks stabbing to death a white veteran...where is the media outrage about this? It's not there because it's a black on white crime...

Conservatism, Inc., the libertarians, the liberals, the entire MSM and the Black Complaint Machine—basically, everyone in America bearing respectable opinions—have largely decided the following: 1) Michael Brown was an innocent, college-bound black kid 2) shot by a trigger-happy police officer named Darren Wilson for 3) absolutely no reason whatsoever, except racism, that 4) the protestors are completely justified for whatever they’re doing, 5) the police are violently overreacting to the protestors, 6) the Ferguson police are “too white”, and, finally, 7) the police in America are “overmilitarized.”

Jubilant left-right collaboration on that last point has become the centerpiece of the media debate.

Something to it? Sure. Healthy societies don’t have domestic police forces that look like invading armies.

But then again, America is not a healthy society.

We are an increasingly multiracial, white-minority society. The black populations in the cities have lower intelligence and are quicker to violence, which explains why they’re poor and why they riot. Billions in social welfare spending, affirmative action, and even a black president have not changed this situation.

Contra conservatives, it’s not “welfare.” Contra liberals, it’s not “racism”. And contra libertarians, it’s not “militarized police.”

Even if all three of these issues play some small role.

It’s genetics.

But the recent history of attempts to discuss this—from Charles Murray to James Watson to Nicholas Wade—are not encouraging. Nobody knows who Richard Lynn is.

And depressingly, I predict this fact never gets the hearing it deserves, much less general acknowledgment.

But we can’t be permanently stuck in this Groundhog Day of shootings, black rage and white silence, can we? Doesn’t something have to give?

In the short run, whites will get no satisfaction. If they decide to un-police black areas, the cry will go out that “racist white society” has abandoned them. If they decide to continue policing in black areas, the cry will go out that “racist white police” are abusing them.
