And Obama gave $100. What a cheap skate! I respectfully disagree with you on this. A band like Kiss is free to pick and choose whichever charities - if any - it wants to support. But if a president (ANY president, not just Barack Obama) starts making huge personal PUBLIC donations to charity, every charity in the world will start knocking at the door. And then when one of them eventually gets turned down, the president will be criticised for doing THAT. He can't really win. The other thing is, most people who give to charity do so privately. (I hate the modern-day habit of people boasting how much they have given - charity shouldn't be done for self-promotion.) I have no idea what Obama has or hasn't done, but for all we know he might have given a lot more privately to this charity, or to others. I'm not saying he says. I'm just saying we don't know. I think he could have given a little more than that without it seeming exorbitant if that was the reason.

I kind of doubt he did if he said he gave $100 but if he did, or Michelle did, that's great. I'm not going to call him a piece of garbage. Of course, I wouldn't anyway. Like him or not, he is our President.

It's public information how much politicians give to charity. The Obama's and Biden's and Democrats in general give a lot less to charity then Republicans do. That's a proven fact proven by tax records. And don't give me that crap about "That's because Republicans are rich." The Democrats are just as rich as anyone else. When your name is Kennedy and Kerry and the Klinton's get millions every time they give a speech don't tell me about the poor Democrats.
On a completely different topic, I also love how the Democraps always say that rich people want to give more in taxes...they even go as far as saying they would pay more in taxes...well...in many states and in the federal tax returns you can voluntarily give more to the government and I haven't heard of one Democrap that has given more than what they have to in taxes.
