Thanks JJ, I liked Red Zone Rider, but I was really hoping to find out about really new bands on the scene, as opposed to "supergroup" bands made up of leftovers from great bands of the 70's and 80's. Another example of this is the Black Star Riders.
Wildlights were interesting, singer sounds like Perry Farrell

Started looking into to this band. They've got something. Singer's got some swagger and the band seems skilled, they just need to put it all together. The video's not helping them. The Scorpion Child video Coop posted was terrible too, but the songs are great. I like both songs, but I wish I could "unsee" the videos. Cheese sandwich. Also, listened to a bit more of Wildlights. Definitely don't like them as much as Uncle Acid, but I am enjoying moments of the album. Would be a trip to hear them cover a Jane's Addiction song, haha.

Danava, the singer's voice may not be for everybody. I didn't like it at first, but I have got used to it and started to like it. I really like this song except for the last minute of it, gets too proggy for me. I love the album cover.

Oh well Thanks Tomass, I definitely like the music, sounds like vintage Metallica. However, I'm not 100% into the lyrics or the vocal delivery. Overall pretty good though. Did you like any of the bands suggested on this thread? I mean aside from Hillbilly Herald, which I know you like and you got me into. By the way, do you know if they are still together/and or working on a new album? I'd love to hear more from them.

When I first heard Havok I didn't care for the vocals either but the music was so good that I kept listening and the they grew on me. I am going to see them in a few weeks and just bought 3 of their CD's Hillbilly Herald is supposedly working on a new album. They had a lineup change as one of the guitarists had left. I liked most of what I heard on here but I will check them all out again when I have some good time to absorb it. I love finding new music that is good. Wolf mother of course I have heard of. I was into their first album but never got anything after that.

I saw Rival Sons open for Sabbath about a month ago. The singer puts so much energy into the show. He came out on stage and right after the first song started he kicked his shoes off and did the rest of the show in bare feet. I don't know why I feel the need to mention that, but so be it. It was great. I've bought all their albums, a shirt, and am counting down the days to this new release. As an added bonus, my wife can actually listen to them. We fight over music so much. Agreement on tunes is rare. DJing in my house is no easy task. She cant stand any Aerosmith except maybe Dream On. She's into a lot of poppy, techno, dance music.
