I went years unable to discover new hard rock bands that I really liked, I mean liked enough to go to a show. During the past year, the last few months in particular, I seem to have struck a gold mine. I have become a huge fan of several bands that debuted around 2005 or more recently. I am so pleased because I thought hard rock was dying. But, these bands are really good! I hear a lot of people dismissing a lot of these bands because they "sound like" Led zeppelin and/or Black Sabbath and other 70's rock bands. Isn't this what we've all been hoping for? I don't see what the problem is. They sound great to me.
Please let me know if you can add to this list and if you haven't heard these bands, please check'em out. And if ya do know em please share your opinion.

How about posting what you consider to be one of their best for some of these? I'll start with Rival Sons "Get What's Coming"

The Strypes. They are a real trip. They are just kids but don't be fooled, this is old school rock n roll. This could be the Rolling Stones in the early 60's. Band comes recommended from the likes of Alice Cooper....
