Barren Earth - A Complex of Cages
It's very rare these days, but sometimes YouTube still works as it used to, recommending me new music based on what I've watched before. Barren Earth happens to be another band Sami (from Kreator) is in. Unusual, but very cool stuff. And I know I've been going on and on about this, but I love Sami's playing style and what he's bringing to Kreator, feels like he was the one final missing ingredient to make the magic potion. I'm not a musician, so I don't know how to explain it, but it just sounds so satisfying.

Let's see what I recall:
Saxon - Heavy Metal Thunder. A 2 DVD set, documentary (the bit with Biff and Lemmy where Biff ends with "keep the faith!" and Lemmy says "keep my faith too if you like, I'm not using it!" is pure gold) + live show.
Slash. The self-titled album.
A bunch of Megadeth remasters. Plus Dystopia.
Metal Church - Damned If You Do. The new album.
MONO INC. - Welcome to Hell. Their latest album.
Amon Amarth - The Pursuit of Vikings. Or maybe should have been purr-suit given the fluffy black demon making an appearance in the documentary.
Avantasia - Moonglow (latest album) and Ghostlights.
Battle Beast - Bringer of Pain.
Alice Cooper - A Paranormal Evening at the Olympia Paris. The live album recorded in Paris on the 2017 tour (which I saw in Dublin and Berlin).
Kreator - Extreme Aggression. The remaster with the thick booklet and the bonus live DVD. One by one, I'll get all these remasters. I was so impressed last year when I got my hands on my first one!

Slash. The self-titled album. One of my favorite Chris Cornell performances on there.
"Promise"
I miss that guy. One of the most distinct and powerful voices. I wish he would a taken some of the advice he gives in the lyrics.

I know this will come as no surprise, but my #1 song off that album... and probably out of everything Slash has put out:
"I'll haunt you for a thousand years!"
Please do, Lemmy, please do...

Also:
Alice in Chains - Rainier Fog
Random memory: this was playing in between the Dimmu Borgir and Kreator set at the last show of the tour.

Last Vinyl purchases were Motley Crue - Girls Girls Girls Nice choice. My fav Crue album. Every tune ranks 5/5 for me except the interlude Nona and ballad You're all I Need.
Wildside and the title track are obviously awesome. But I think track 3: Dancin on Glass is underrated, especially out the gate. Always punches me in the face when it starts. Mean riff and drumming! I don't think the backup vocal section at the end is needed though.

Yeah man and it sounds great on Vinyl!! I even like Nono and You're All I need.. Alot of people including the band say that GGG and TOP only have a couple good songs but I can't disagree more.. Mick's tone on the GGG album might be my favorite tone on any album ever.
