Aerosmith 2020 European Tour
Bang Showbiz 3 December 2019 Aerosmith are reportedly set to bring their Las Vegas residency to the Uk next year for a series of arena shows Aerosmith are reportedly set to bring their Las Vegas show across the Atlantic for a tour in 2020. Steven Tyler and co kick-started their 'Deuces Are Wild' residency earlier this year, and are set to continue their run at Sin City's Park Theatre until June 2020. And after they recently hinted at something special with an exciting announcement coming in early next year for Vegas, it has been reported that they are also planning to bring the production to arenas in the UK. An insider told The Sun newspaper's Bizarre column: "Aerosmith are on flying form and have perfected their show in Vegas. "It's a real spectacle and they are bringing the production here after months of negotiations. It's going to be massive." The 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing' rockers last played this side of the pond in 2017, when they headlined Download festival, in what was then-assumed to be their last-ever UK show. In a cryptic Twitter post last month, the legendary band – completed by Joe Perry, Tom Hamilton, Joey Kramer and Brad Whitford – coyly wrote: "You know we only do 'Amazing' things. "Which is why we've teamed up with #Vegas to create the next big thing for the city... Find out more January 26th 2020! #LasVegas @vegas #Aerosmith #DuecesAreWild (sic)" Meanwhile, the 'Crazy' hitmakers saw their careers revived when they teamed up with hip-hop icons Run-DMC in 1986 on a new version of 'Walk this Way', and guitarist Joe previously admitted he had no idea how big an impact the track would make. He said: "We really didn't realise the impact that song and that video made on people until we were touring in Europe and there were people who thought we were a new band. "They didn't know anything about the earlier days. We were fascinated by that. "When Rick Rubin sent us a couple of plane tickets to go to New York to record the song and then make the video a couple of months later, for us it was business as usual. "Obviously the song was a big hit, but we really didn't realise what the impact was. "Without it, we would have kept playing and going on, and it would have been us doing what we've always done. Who knows what we would have written later down the road, but there was some divine intervention there that put us in touch with Run-DMC. I'm really pleased that it happened."

Oh well... I am so confused about it.... On one hand it's much closer than LV and on the other... well, that's not quite what I expected or hoped for.
Really? Residency in the UK in fall-winter time? Seriously? I find that hard to believe.... Unless they want to squeeze it in between the end of LV residency and HV shows. That would make more sense weather wise and the gap is about 2,5 month, so plenty.
What about world tour then? Will it be only some shows (how many?) in the UK and then what...? 50th anniversary anyone?
And there is also the question about ticket prices... I am kinda afraid it would be insane. And would the system be just as shitty as with HV tickets?
I am lost... what do you people think?

Hopefully it will be in April as I'm scheduled to be in London for the Pussycat Dolls reunion your...(please don't judge my 2000s upbringing)
I can imagine a sort of residency tour something Madonna and another Japanese artist are doing with many many dates in selected venues around just a few locations. Kinda happy about this although it would mean spending money yet again. If they bring the whole Lisa sound and stage design it's gonna be a sweet deal. Hopefully Joey will be back for next year's shows. The other guys seem to be doing fine and look healthy. Steven high notes are barely there on some of the more demanding songs (especially dream on) but he remains a great singer with an icon voice and has still stamina and vocal skills.

Alright, I didn't think about these dates... This might work too, actually, since they have more than 3 months between mid Feb to mid May...
The rest of the big questions remain, however...

I don't think they're touring the UK in fall/winter. The weather is so abysmal. They usually tour UK/EU in summer.
And probably EU citizens will be needing ESTA/VISA by that time for entering the UK after brexit, just a friendly reminder. Get your passport ready!

Well I personally don't love EU so much, of course there's a lot to be grateful for but I also understand if the oldest democracy in the world wants to exit and be totally indipendent. I am a bit sad that the EU instead of positively working with the UK to find a peaceful solution and take the opportunity to analyse its weaknesses has been sending ultimatums to the UK showing basically animosity.
Hopefully rock n roll will bring people together once again

Apparently other artists in Vegas have made a statement around January 26th so I wonder if it is about a new concert venue or something like that?

I think it was mentioned in a recent interview, that somebody linked to on the forum... I am going to put all my purchases and plans on hold until then (or until some other news or rumors surface)....

lets see……….lets see their Schedule for 2020...……………………….
jan 29 - feb 15 LAS VEGAS
may 20 - june 4 LAS VEGAS
Hollywood vampires aug 15 - sep 10. many Concerts in germany. in UK sep 2 - 6 sep
series of ARENA shows coming in UK 2020...……..so......mars , april ..that time? or in late june - july? would be quite Heavy gigging for mr perry if they put in dates around these possible months…..
UK after vampires dates? early october?....i Think around this time is the most logical time they do the UK dates....there is no time to sell tickets for earlier Concerts. but what kind of ARENAs do they play there? seems kinda weird if they are playing 15000 arenas for multiple dates in same cities. say manchester 3 nights , Birmingham 3 nigts , London 3 nights. is there enough interest for this band in EU anymore playing in these bigger arenas. maybe for 1 night but more? well...maybe marketing with the new soundsystem and one more time….it´s Aerosmith baby Aerosmith...Catch it while you can!
or wait….the news didnt say they would play more than one time in one Place. and nothing says it wont be dates for some other countries in europe as well. they use to Always do some dates in Germany while here….

Maybe they’re finally going to tour the UK rather than play random one off dates or festival shows 🤔
(Knowing the source of the rumour I would put it as just something made up as a page filler but let’s go with it for now)
Dua Lipa (nope, no idea) announced a UK arena tour recently and is playing :
London, O2 Arena * 2 (20k) Manchester Arena (21k) Leeds, First Direct Arena (14k) Cardiff, Motorpoint Arena (8k) Birmingham Arena (16k) Newcastle, Utilita Arena (11k) Glasgow, The SSE Hydro (13k)
And I’ll add in Belfast (11k)
If Aerosmith were to sell out all of those shows you’re looking at 134k fans. Assuming they want $1million per show, that’s an average of $70 a ticket.
I don’t think Aerosmith have quite that draw in the UK, but the fact that they’ll be “local” rather than you having to go to a festival will work in their favour. Factor in idiots like myself who will see them multiple times, and people coming in from the EU and elsewhere (Brexit permitting and assuming no similar tours in EU) and I think they would sell out a set of shows like this...
The question is, when? They have a gap between Feb & May, which is probably too short notice to shift those tickets and plan it in, so probably looking at later in the year (October?)... the weather wouldn’t be the best for five old men coming over from the weather of Vegas to play to 8k people in rainy Cardiff...
So it’s possible they might also do 2 or 3 different venues and call that an arena tour, despite it being nothing of the sort...

It's definitely gonna be June/July. Maybe they're doing smaller venues like the royal Albert Hall. I just hope there's gonna be standard GA tickets. No more expensive seats for old people please.
