Livin' on the Edge. I know tomass. You give it a D. This night it goes up to a C+ sir. The extended jam ending was added back into place which usually gets scrapped. It was a welcome addition. Steven did get his scat ending and did it well. I upgraded WTW from a C to a B for a closer after watching one of the videos. Usually a anticlimactic, predictable closer but without giving anything away, it looks cool as hell this tour. Until he stumbles and scares the 💩 out of you ... 😂

Anyways, the complaints I have are for the most part just nit picking. I thoroughly enjoyed both shows. When they first announced this I wasn’t sure if it would be cool or cheesy, but now having seen it I would definitely say it’s cool and if I was in Vegas again tonight I would gladly go again. Great review kang ! Sounds about right. They could do some things better but overall people seem to be digging it. I wasn't sure either and ended up selling my tickets. These shows seem like they would have been worth the trip. It worked out though since they scheduled the Springfield shows. Hopefully everything stays kosher til then. I just hope the setlist remains 70's heavy by that time. I remember you from AF1. Glad you joined to post your review.

Saw tonight’s show. The piano was not working for Dream On and Steven was not happy about it, so they just went into the song with Steve at the main stage, but his mic was off for the first half of the song (but Steve did not notice). Awesome show! Did not look up the setlisr cause did not want to be spoiled. The band still rocks! I had never seen Seasons or Hangman Jury before so was thrilled to have them. The show has really great visuals (especially the lights and lasers) that you have to see in person to believe. The last time I had seen Aerosmith was 2013. Loved the show, especially Toys, Seasons, and Hangman Jury. Train was definitely the fast version. Did they actually play the slow one on the other dates? What is semi annoying is that the show time is 8PM, but what happens is at 8PM you watch a 30 minute documentary before they go on stage. Why not just play that 30 minutes before the showtime for those waiting? Seems crazy to make everyone in the audience watch a long documentary. They played the full Train to open at least the first show. I am actually pretty pumped for the documentary. I love that shit and it seems like all part of the experience to me. I am holding off on watching that til my show.. The documentary is random audio and video clips scattered and is more of a clip show that is unfocused. I did not enjoy it despite being a fan. It was poorly put together and the voices were hard to understand. Concert was amazing though!

Just finished. Review is coming soon. I have mixed feelings but sound quality was out of this world. This venue is really cool. Details in a few minutes.

Ok back in my mini suite (got a free upgrade at the Flamingo from a Go Room, hotel is a bit messy some details are old but I have a nice view of the Bellagio fountains 💅)
THE PRE-SHOW VIDEO: I really liked the audio editing between songs and the visuals. As for what they were saying, it was nothing new so I went to the restroom twice lol. It was still nice that there are speakers all over the venue so you can still hear what's going on if you're outside.
THE CONCERT: I had absolutely no spoilers and honestly the production value really blew my expectations away! The lights and lasers are amazing, the stage is cool with that big moving Aerosmith prop (it could have been lit up more often thought, the stage seemed pretty dark).
The show is very elaborate for a rock band of their age. They also have to be in sync with the stage crew for the pyrotechnics and other gimmicks that require precision. The moving toys, balloons, Confetti, fire and big ass flying staircase really give the show a "only in Vegas" premium feel to it.
The thing that I enjoyed the most tonight was the audio system. It felt powerful, clean, crisp, hard and deep. You could clearly hear every guitar note from both Joe and Brad and Steven sounded phenomenal...well when he was singing what he is supposed to be signing at least. He skipped a few notes and flubbed some lyrics.
The band plays well, as usual. The experience is enhanced by this audio experience and I was surprised, and relived, to see and hear Joey so energetic and healthy. He's a machine. He and Brad are incredible musicians. Tom maybe failed one or two notes in the intro of SE but I can't recall, he's only so goofy having a good time.
There was a very annoying issue for the sax solo during stop messing around so basically the mic was mute for half of the solo. An unforgivable mistake given ticket prices.
Steven on the other hand felt out of focus. The show is difficult and he might got distracted a couple of times...I can forgive him because his voice is still good but paying so much for flubbed lyrics, weird and repetitive jokes, missing notes on Dream on (worst version I have ever heard), terrible piano playing (that passage between home tonight and you see Me crying was atrocious and so out of key)...he even fell on his side when stepping on the piano and struggle to step on the staircase. He sounds and looks youthful but he can barely walk straight apparently lol!
Now the nitty and gritty...the setlist....A TURD! WTF was that?! 16 songs?! No extended Jam! No underplayed songs! Did I really fly from Italy for a little warm up show?! Plus it's all the same. No new entries since the last tours. For me Kings and Queens was the only new one I got but that one plus hangman jury and season of wither...boring! Everyone was seated: no energy, no fast playing no rock n roll. Hangman jury is actually nice thanks to the amazing harmonies between Steven and Buck but come on.... Cryin and Edge were honestly the best moments with the most crowd interaction. Cryin was very nice with Steven walking in the crowd, it made the song fresh again.
The backdrop videos are extremely well done and everything is new. What I didn't like was the lack of a live camera for most of the show. OK the venue is small but still one of the best things at aero shows is the live camera that really captures the energy of the band. So being seated a bit far in the back with so many slow songs and no live camera I didn't feel so engaged and entertained despite the playing and sound were superb.
Honestly I much prefer a festival/general admission setting, it suits Aerosmith so much better instead of a small venue with people walking during the show in and out...it really bothered and distracted me. But I guess this was a new way to experience Aerosmith and I'm happy I attended the show.
Sorry for the long and poorly written review it's just a stream of consciousness.
Overall the show is great especially if you haven't heard a few of these songs (I doubt it) but I would suggest you to go only for the audio and theatrical experience that are totally new for Aerosmith because they lack some life and excitement probably because of being locked up in this ridiculous city without the engagement of worldwide fans.
01 train (what a groundbreaking opener...I didn't care much) 02. Mama Kin (Steven missed his cue and the band had to play the intro over and over until he finally was able to enter) 03. Saddle (Steven sounded ferocious but at this point I was having issues with other people because of switching seat rows) 04. Kings and Queens (good but saddle is already slow and with this one everyone was seated....) 05. Sweet emotion (stupid slot, didn't care much) 06.hangman (nice harmonies but same gig with the 2 chairs...) 07.season of wither (boring, guitars sounded amazing but it's just not a live song for me) 08. Stop Messin around (Joe has played this song at every show for I don't know how many decades...enough, plus the sax mic fail. I can't. Steven played the harmonica while lying on his back, it looked cool but he didn't sound his best) 09. Crying (the passage from the previous song was a bit abrupt but I really enjoyed it, probably the most fun moment of the show...he played the harmonica terribly because assaulted by fans but it was still fun) 10. Edge (very emotional moment, edge is one of their best songs and it always works live! Great backdrop video) 11. I don't want to miss a thing (weird setlist order, not of my liking honestly but good performance) 12. Elevator (i didn't care about this especially because Steven let a fan sing a whole section of the song...again it looked cute and fun but I'm not paying so much to listen to a fan girl screaming in the mic, although she was actually fairly good, the lights were amazing here making up for the song) 13. Toys (same old same old) 14. Dude (one of my favourite moments, great vocals and fire effects and cool little jam at the end)
Encore: 15. Home tonight/you see me crying (piano only)/dream on (it's been years I say they should ditch the piano thing. He sounds horrible and it's getting tired. He almost fell from it and instead of a full scream he held half a falsetto note...disappointing) 16. Mother pop corn/wtw (cool closing with the staircase although Steven didn't look super confident walking it)
Great production value, great band, great playing but lazy Setlist and very short experience. If you ask your fans to fly over to Vegas and pay big bucks you should at least play a little more.
Forgot to mention they played Come Together somewhere in the set. Can't remember if it was before or during the encore. Another overplayed slow pace song 😔

03. Saddle (Steven sounded ferocious but at this point I was having issues with other people because of switching seat rows) 04. Kings and Queens (good but saddle is already slow and with this one everyone was seated....) Saddle is slow? I think most would consider it one of the most rocking balls out songs they have ever released.

It's hard yes and I love it and I was happy I got it (the last and only time I heard it live was in 2010) but it's a bit slow paced so having other 3 slow songs afterwards was kinda anticlimatic. SOS,Same old song and lick and a promise would be much better choices instead of k&q,season and hangman. And where is DTL?! That's one of their best too. I was surprised to see lot of real fans instead of random concert goers and the crowd reaction was fairly great for every song especially when Steven nailed his iconic screams. I'm amazed at how they sound and play good I do expect a few tours still. They aren't ready to quit. Maybe Steven will be less physical but that OK, better focusing on vocals and face delivery rather than falling from a piano just because you have to "act cool"
if they're playing 17 songs with the usual staples I would pick:
01 sweet emotion 02 Elevator 03 Back In The Saddle 04 kings & Queens 05 Hangman Jury 06 Crying 07 Edge 08 Stop Messing Around 09 Mama Kin 10 Milk Cow Blues 11 I Don't Want To Miss A Thing 12 Draw The Line 13 Toys 14 Dude
Encore: 15 Whatever ballad but Hone Tonight/Dream On with no piano 16 Train or LTMDTT 17 mother popcorn/WTW

A couple notes:
Our experience on Sunday night was nothing but positive. Sure, the setlist could be longer, but the intensity was undeniable. For all the recent 'henny penny' about Joe, he tore shit up. Front and center most of the night, strutting and strumming like a goddamn gold lamme peacock. He was clearly enjoying himself, and at one point even smiled. Yes, smiled. At Steven! Holy shit.
The staging and lighting are top shelf, and elevated the show into a different sphere than we've all witnessed at standard Aero shows.
Whoever was responsible for bringing the sax up in the mix, failed both times. Sound kicked in 1/2 way through on both occasions.
The encore break seemed a little long. I suspect that was down to Tyler reaming the Stage Left sound guy. He was going at him pretty hard as the regular set wound down.
Joe played Hangman really loose, and it sounded great. Seasons was typically excellent as well, and I was glad to see Steven NOT strap on a guitar for it, as he did at our show in '15. I know, weird, right? I think those two nights were the only times he's done that, and it did not work. I was very pleased to hear it again, played as it should be.
The merch kinda sucks. Mostly generic and ridiculously priced. Eat the rich indeed! The potential for Vegas themed designs was huge, but unrealized. Oh well. I would've at least grabbed an event poster, but it was really bland, and, for some strange reason, on very thick cardboard stock, making it pretty dicey to roll without creating cardboard wrinkles. Not very practical for suitcase travellers.
All in all, a great experience, and made even better by catching the Golden Knights/Sharks immediately beforehand, then literally walking across the street from the arena into the Aero show. A good day.

Went to show last week. What a great first 7 or 8 songs! Great energy and I love the fact that some if the songs are not too polished. I am going to hit the Springfield Ma show now. Definite thumbs up. Great time!

I went back to Vegas last weekend and did the back-to-back Paul McCartney and Aerosmith gigs on Friday and Saturday nights... What a weekend! VERY cool to catch Steven and Paul blasting through Helter Skelter at T Mobile Arena. I am so very fortunate. Saturday's show was my second on this residency thing...first show was in April on the second night. What a difference a few months make. While the April show was marred with technical glitches and band in-fighting (mostly Steven bitching everyone else out), this one was just about flawless. Between the two shows, I have seen 23 different songs now so you won't get any set list complaints from me. They ROCKED. The first four songs absolutely COOKED with Train, SOSAD, Rag Doll and Last Child. Holy shit, I figured everything else would be the same from Sweet Emotion on but I was wrong. They did NOT PLAY IDWTMAT...well alright! Sucks to be all the uppity couples that used that turd as their wedding song! Chip Away was INCREDIBLE in the encore spot...LOVE IT!!! The band seemed to be getting along extremely well with a ton of smiles and personal interaction on stage. Sounds silly, but I could feel the love. My seat may have been the best spot in the entire theater, directly up against the stage at the side of the point. I was able to high five/shake all five of their hands. Steven grabbed my hand and shook me so hard I just about fell down. It was a fucking BLAST. If you're thinking about going...just do it. Sure, its Las Vegas so you get your fair share of fair weather fans and rich morons, but this show is a real treat for the fans too. If I could, I would go back again. Here are a few pics: Hard to believe the age of these guys when you see them live... Long Live Aerosmith!
