The band is getting bashed everywhere. Rightfully so.

Um I don’t know what your talking about. Seems like a typical Aerosmith performance. I don’t know what was so horrendous about it. Sounds like a typical RunDMC version. I can show much worse performances from the 70’s that we all kinda dig because it’s raw Aerosmith on drugs, but the sound quality is off.
I think people got a stink bug up their ass because of the Joey thing. Sounds like current day Aerosmith. Now, I don’t personally prefer the rap version of WTW, but that’s just my opinion.

hollywoodlife.com/2020/01/26/aerosmith-grammys-2020-performance-photos/Yeah Twitter is full of negative assholes who shit on anyone and everyone. I listen to the Stern show, have for years and it’s better than ever because it’s evolved beyond flatulence, lesbians and porn stars yet Twitter is full of aholes who bash HS for not doing the same show he did 30 years ago. I think too many fans hate Aerosmith for selling out and now the Joey thing, so I’m not persuaded by Twitter, I heard it, sounded fine. Nothing great about it but average.

I thought it was fine. Edge started off kind of messy, but they got it together.

Haven’t heard this officially so it may be BS... John Douglas is Aerosmith’s new drummer. Only the 2nd drummer in the band’s 50 year history. How do you feel about this? (Well technically the 3rd if you consider Steven as the original).

Watched the Grammy. Very disappointed they only did 2 songs, raise questions as for the rehearsal time for Joey. Like seriously they played the most played songs these days maybe even if he wasn't in a good physical and emotional state he could have pulled through anyway. Either way the Dummer was OK at least. I still don't like his style but the tempo seemed OK, the rap version. Of WTF seems to have playback drums so the guys behind the console can scratch on top. Sounded messy and overcrowded but Steven was great as usual, even during Edge I don't understand the fuzz...he's not Mariah Carey and neither Mariah Carey is Mariah Carey at this point, I think he sounded great. The only issue I heard was Joe messing with the wtw intro with that hideous guitar. Really too short as a performance I was expecting much more, WTW dragged for too long and they could have played another song like Pink or Janie which both won Grammys and have a sort of social undertone that goes well for these occasions.
Classic Steven:
Anyway they are really being roasted, they honestly deserve this, the performance was lazy and very anticlimactic after all the drama with Joey but to be honest Joe has always been a hit or miss player so it's a very typical Aerosmith thing...I've generally been lucky with his playing throughout the years and only got a bad performance in 2010 for my first concert but after that he always delivered, especially in Donington, London 2014 and Zurich 2017. Good memories.

As much as Joey definitely could have played at the Grammys even with a track I still think Aerosmith's performance (messy sloppy anticlimactic etc as it may have been to some) was a hella lot better than the other garbage that performed and is considered music nowadays.

I didn't watch all of the performance but Alicia keys was cute and talented as usual, Billie Eilish is good and a breath of fresh air in the teen/young pop scene...finally someone who doesn't scream all the time, her album is a nice mix of soft vocals, simple melodies, folk instruments and hard, dark beats. Lizzo is terrible just yelling without breathing technique. Ariana is a good singer, I don't like most of her music but she did a good performance, visually stunning with the simple Yet good choreography. John Legend was a mess he performed with a bunch of who knows who...messy. Usher and his Prince tribute was OK, he's good but I wasn't impressed. Aerosmith was definitely the most fun moment but as fans we notice every little crack but I agree, in spite of everything that went down they were still a highlight.

I haven’t watched yet, I had it DVR’d. I want to see the full Aerosmith performance, I also want to see Billie Eilish and all her winning, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, and I think that was it. One of the best comments about Aerosmith’s performance was people wanted them to ditch Run DMC and redo the Walk This Way performance with Britney Spears.

That would have been a great comeback for Britney. What the hell is she doing by the way?! All those random Instagram videos and endless vacation. Her last album was pretty good and well put together, the conservatorship looks like a real mess but sharing the same manager with the band I think a collaboration would be really cool and a potential crossover, much more credible than that carrie underwood flop song.

Talented as some of the artists may have been I just can't stand them. Doesn't help that I hear most of their songs over and over and over again at work. Kinda makes you despise them....

The performance wasn't perfect but I thought it was good for what it was.. At least it was live. The beginning of WTW sounded sloppy but it seemed like Run DMC were rapping different verses at the same time.

Last I heard after she canceled her Vegas residency people are claiming she may never perform again. It’s sad because she was performing as good as ever but I wouldn’t count her out yet. But who knows. A couple of other Grammy performances I have to see is JoJo and Camila Cabello. I have tickets to see Camila in Orlando coming up. I saw her on tour with Taylor Swift and she was really good. I have lost a lot of respect for Ariana Grande after her whining about not getting any awards. I know she’s disappointed but lets be real...Ariana has a team of people who write her songs for her while Billie is just her and her brother. You also won’t find a more humble person than Billie who while being interviewed she was crying and still shocked at all the awards she took the time to ask the interviewer how he was doing. That is something so minor but something you never see anyone do and it shows how well she was brought up. Also, the way her brother had her back when she became speechless was great!
