Wonder how the band really sounds today. I didnt watch these latest performances with links here. Just a few seconds here and there. These new artists. I dont like them. They seem so fake. So idol. Bending with their voices. So overtrying. All same horrible artists. I cant stand going to a clothstore. They have this new modern fking noise on high volym. Rap newpop or whatever they call it. Oh so good music is dying. But m carey with dreamlover was great. It gets worse year by year it seems. Oh well time is 1. 40 am time to take taxi to the airport i guess. No fking bus or train at this time of day. I didnt expext this. Last bus train went 22. 00. Are you fking kidden me? Las vegas here i come i think. Dont feel any joy or excitement over this trip at the moment

I finally watched the Grammy’s...at least the performances and awards I wanted to see. As for Aerosmith, Edge was pretty good...WTW sucked. I think the main reason it sucked was because of RunDMC. I really don’t believe Joey would have done any worse on the drums but it is what it is.

Although many make a big deal out of the “fusion” of rock and rap with the Aero/RunDMC collaboration, I don’t like it. When I started digging Aero back in 1976, I had no idea it would turn into that type of craptastic music. Although I know some will say Aero still wouldn’t be around if not for that, maybe they’d be playing smaller venues singing old songs like Lick, Saddle, etc. in that case. I find it hard to believe they would have vanished otherwise. As for Joey, I don't think practice or no practice would have made much difference in those two songs.

Totally random, but I want that black Aerosmith shirt the Run-DMC dude was wearing (Jam Master Jay?). Simple but pretty awesome....

So... I think I basically acted like a little kid in those recent day. You know, when they close their eyes and think that if they can't see the monster, the monster can't see them. Well, this whole situation was, obviously, shitty and unexpected. And it is also quite complex for a great variety of reasons. And the worst thing is - we really know very little. All the half-truths, PR statements and media coverage BS don't really tell you much. Ok, perhaps the legal files from the court would say something, but then again, you know... lawyers spend their education learning how to trick you, so this description would be surely true... from a certain point of view It might have been Joey's physical issues, mental problems, addiction, depression, financial grudges or many more. Or any mix of these. It's sad to see them after 50 years in a situation like this, but they've been through some shit and made it through, so here's to hoping they will this time too. Would be great to see all 5 of them back on track again in Vegas, but this might not happen just yet. I think it's not easy on any of them and they will all try to get back together. Too bad he wasn't with them on Grammy's. Especially that with what they ended up playing - he could have easily pulled it off (that's just my guess/wishful thinking, I couldn't probably even play triangle )... If, as someone suggested, the whole thing was not staged. For whatever reason. But I don't think it was... PS. it seems I said nothing new.... I guess I just had to get it off my chest and out of my mind. Let's see what the next days and weeks will bring

Omg had a nightmare with Joey giving an official statement to announce his departure from the band. I have a gut feeling he’s not coming back 😢. My gut tells me his health issues are too great and he’s been struggling for a while as we all know. I hope I’m wrong but I think maybe he hasn’t accepted it yet, hence the lawsuit. Also, not for nothing but I watched the Grammy’s again and I just don’t get what all the fuss was about. Howard and Robin said the same thing last week and others have said they got screwed by the people mixing or whatever. Maybe I’m going deaf. Here’s to hoping Joey K makes it back, at least for Fenway.

What do you mean you don't understand the fuzz? Mixing issues apart I think this drummer sucks as a fill in. He's soulless, the cymbals are all over the place, he doesn't play the songs by intuition and sometimes his tempo is off. I accept Steven losing his voice and Joe's already known sloppy and inconsistent playing because well, they're the band and wrote the songs but a drummer tech? Should sound like the record or at least put some heart into it while he sounds like a cold and faulty drum machine. Sorry not sorry.
Come on the band sounds TRAGIC without Joey.

They sound so disjointed. The drummer is either too fast or imprecise or just doesn't glue with the band. This intro is so off.
His intensity during the intro to SE is so inconsistent I can't believe Joey plays worse than this guy here.

This was such an odd situation. Joey feeling like Steven Adler being asked to play Chinese Democracy to stay in the band and the band thinking he is playing like Frank on You Could Be Mine. This whole thing feels like it was completely mismanaged and something that really could and should have been handled behind closed doors with managers. I mean what the fuck are they paying these people for? Honestly, how much prep does Joey need for Walk This Way and a snippet of Livin on the Edge? But why did Joey have to go all sue happy? It's sad that at this stage of the game stupid shit like this has to happen. But then again, we had to have some kind of huge meltdown at the 40th. Why should the 50th be any different? And isn't it just fascinating how it all coincided with two very big events for the band plus the release of a 50th anniversary People edition? It's almost like a band with several decades of experience in press figured out how to manipulate a situation to be essentially harmless yet get their name out there with the likes of Billie Eilish and I don't know, Crack Wacka Flocka Tatoo Face 648x32 to the 5th.
