I mentioned it to Jason and the look on his face told me not to ask again. He told me he has had enough of septuagenarians in concert although ironically we are seeing Skynyrd on the 30th.

It seems this thread should be brought back to life Who is going and who is “pump”ed? I’ve had these tickets since they went on sale in early 2020. Unfortunately my now former girlfriend won’t be coming. I am section A3, Joe’s side, close-ish to the catwalk, and near the stage. I have a spare ticket for now - hopefully that changes. Will be taking the day off from work for this, so would be cool to meet some of you all You foiled my plans to start a two week countdown thread tomorrow! lol I am still gonna do it if you don't mind. Apologies. Great minds think a like! You’re the boss if you want a new thread. Would love to just engage in dialogue for other members who are attending from far and wide. Coming from NYC here. Would love to meet up with others. Would also like to get some great merch for this event!

I think I have been holding onto these tickets for three years now. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous that they postponed again last year. It really took the wind out of my sails, but I have started to get excited again as of the last few weeks. I think those 50th anniversary streams added to that excitement.
Will this be a redemption show? The last Fenway was a sore spot for a lot of Aerosmith fans. Their hometown? At Fenway Park? Die Hards flew from all over to see that show. They were sure to dust off some gems. They were going to knock it out of the park!! Instead, they struck out. Big time in the eyes of a lot of fans. Not only did they skip out on the gems by playing very heavy Geffen "Big ones" set, but they also made it worse by playing songs like Red House and One Way Street the shows before and after Fenway. It just made no sense at all. Playing in their "Hometown" just doesn't mean anything to the boys anymore and hasn't for a long time. Just look at their last shows. I thought they were doing a great job in Vegas switching of tweaking the setlist by tweaking a song or two most night. Playing Gems like Walkin the Dog, Kings and Queens and Chip Away. Then they decided to come home to Massachusetts and play the exact same show 4 nights in a row. Then like a bad joke, they went back to Vegas and started switching it up again. wtf?? lol.
What do you think will happen this time? Due to the fact that it is their second show in like 3 years, I really don't have high hopes for any special Gems which is a shame. Losing Joey doesn't help the cause either. I never gave the guy enough credit but watching some of these 50 the anniversary stream really showed how much he shined live. That chemistry and what he adds will never be matched by anyone and he gave them a lot more flexibility. And again, this is their second show in almost 3 years. That alone could set the stage for a disaster. Fenway is the worst venue there is for a show and being rusty won't do them any favors. I bought 2nd tier fan club tix for the last Fenway show and had scaffolding blocking my view of the stage, so I took it in my own hands this time and got some great aisle seats on the field.
This may seem like a very pessimistic post, but it is an honest one. I am not going into this show with very high expectations at all and that will be a good thing. I am going to the show to have a good time and am not going to get my hopes up for a great setlist or anything like that. If they throw us a set similar like how they ended their last Vegas shows that would be awesome. If they don't, I won't be shocked. Whatever they play they play, I am just glad the show is finally happening. Like I said, I have some great seats. Just going to have a couple beer and hope for the best. I will have a good time regardless, but my hopes are that the band makes it a great time!

It always pisses me off when they do that. That's what happened in every tour when they came to Argentina. We get like 17/18 songs, which is great and I'm thrilled to get to see them, but then, 3 days later they go to Brazil and they play at least 20 songs sometimes even with 2 encores!!! Why can't they just do that every night? I know, festival dates have shorter sets, but sometimes they came on their own...give us some love, we are there because we want to see you play as much as possible!!!

Look at the bright side…at least they probably won’t do Cryin’ 3 times 😂 Also, at least Joe shouldn’t be too rusty after being out with the project for those shows.

I hope they kick your ass with a surprisingly great set. They definitely owe that to Boston.

I wish they would bring their A-game and really kick ass. That would be a night to remember! 50th Anniversary! Although yes, Joey missing hurts badly....

It's hard for me to picture An Aerosmith concert without a catwalk.

It's hard for me to picture An Aerosmith concert without a catwalk. Haha. Yes, it’s hard to imagine! Stubhub still has that configuration. I am pretty sure MLB.com did too.

Hahaha, that's actually amazing, as I was thinking about it just a few hours ago! I've even sent an email to Red Sox Ticket Office. I'll let you know once (more like "if") they answer. But anyhow, I also can't imagine this show without the catwalk. It's an iconic part of their history. But then again, I believe the ticketing system along with venue layout map must be fully configurable, so if they don't show the catwalk may it be that it won't be there this time? And you are right - when the tickets first went on sale, the catwalk was clearly there.

The GA for the first configuration of this show was laughably small
This new layout makes more sense but it appears 10x bigger. I haven’t seen any new GA tickets go up for sale

Did anyone else order the event shirt when they bought their tickets? Did you receive it yet? I got an email asking to confirm my delivery address, but nothing yet
