I hope if they cancel Tampa and the rest of the tour they do it sooner rather than later. I know it’s going to depend on if and how Steven heals so they will probably reassess after the 30 days and see how he is doing. But with Steven’s age and his previous history I don’t think it looks good. I hope I’m wrong.

Wait, so the Montreal show is not going to be the "last ever Aerosmith show" ?? I believe it never was actually meant to be But why, did you buy tickets for this one? Yes I did, because in the announcement they said "this is our last tour" and it was the last date from that announcement.

I was talking to Wyatt Wendells (Planet Rock presenter) last weekend at a Black Spiders gig. He doesn't think they will tour Europe / RoW and will probably never tour outside America again. He's hoping that they're back in shape for NYE at Boston as he's planning on going to that one, but isn't holding his breath

A Boston band, who's home arena is the Boston Garden, planning their last show ever in the home of the Montreal Canadiens??? At this point any show could be their last. However, there isn't anything they could say or do to be more clear they weren't planning a grand finale, than scheduling it at that venue. I'd put the chance of Montreal getting a planned last show ever at a little less than 1 in a million. But hey, a little optimism never hurt anyone.

in the announcement they said "this is our last tour" and it was the last date from that announcement. That doesn't mean the last show ever... in any scenario. In the most optimistic scenario, I thought these 40 dates were a stress test to see how they manage to get through them. And if they manage to get through all, then the tour could be extended with a few more dates in South America, Europe, Japan. And then they could have a Boston grand finale. In the most pessimistic scenario, not even they thought they'd ever get to play the final shows. If possible, great! But it was never really expected that would happen. I still remember when at the Vampires show, we told Rich we wanted to see Aerosmith in Canada, he asked which show, Alex quickly said Montreal (he also had the idea of seeing the very last show) and got back "but Toronto is at the beginning..." The most realistic scenario, nobody knows which will be their last show ever. So you're probably going to be able to see the last show in exactly two cases: one, by pure chance and two, by going to every single show. So unless you can find some way of predicting the future or winning the lottery... The final Motörhead show was in Berlin in December 2015. Nobody knew at the time that it would be the last. The tour was supposed to resume at the start of 2016, but that never happened. The final Heaven & Hell show was somewhere in the US in August 2009. Nobody knew at the time it would be the last. They had a bunch of festival appearances scheduled for 2010, I had a ticket for one of them, but none of those festival shows ever happened. The last proper Ozzy show to date (not counting the short appearances he has made at a couple of events to sing a couple of songs) was at Ozzfest 2018. What was supposed to be his final tour, initially scheduled for 2019, got postponed and repostponed fuck knows how many times before being eventually cancelled altogether this year. Up until recently, it looked like the final Whitesnake show could have been at Hellfest in France in June 2022. Coverdale caught a respiratory infection and they had to give up the next two, three, five shows, then then the entire rest of the European part of the farewell tour, then the North American dates they had scheduled for later in the year as well. It took him almost a year to get back on stage. For exactly three festival appearances this summer, weeks apart from one another, not a proper tour. --- What I'm trying to say is that regardless of what Aerosmith want or plan, at this point, there's a pretty high chance their bodies might decide otherwise and there's nothing they or we can do about it.

I wish Aerosmith went out like the Beatles. According to a friend they only toured for two years (correct me if I'm wrong) and then just recorded albums establishing their legacy. I still want new music. Unfortunately they've been creatively spent since Just Push Play.

I love the live show memories but it’s shame we haven’t seen more music from them in these last 22 years

I wanted to argue the Ozzy point and claim he had done shows in the last two or three years as I saw him at the PPL Center in Allentown. Then I looked up the show and saw it was in 2018 and my jaw dropped as time is really flying fast I suppose. Pandemic brain and all.

Hearing from within that the absolute earliest this tour could resume would be Nov 1. And they are saying that is optimistic.
ST still needs to do rehab on his voice to get it back and all the crew for the tour was reassigned. They will have to do at least 2 weeks of production rehearsals with the mostly new crew before getting back on the road.

Just hoping at this point for re-scheduled dates and not cancellations. If they are going to re-schedule, I'd guess the announcement would only come after they've re-secured new dates for all the October concerts. But then ATL and Tampa would be put at the end of the new line up (in March/April). And have even better chances for cancellations at that point if there are more health/etc. issues.

In all honesty, if they are going to attempt to continue this tour, it shouldn't start again until Dec. 28. This gives Steven plenty of extra time to heal and if needed extra time to find a new crew.

Heard on the radio that Steven is not supposed to talk. Can you imagine shutting him up!

He can’t be happy sitting around
