An Al-qaeda type group will soon control some of Iraqs oil and our gas prices are already going up because of it. In a few days they will control our $billion embassy along with Bagdad thus eliminating whatever it was we did there for $trillions and 4500 lives, untold injury to 1000's of American soldiers and terrorist will now have a country.
Awesome.
We should have kept Saddam Hussein kids alive because it takes evil people to control that part of the world.

since1976...agree!
Once Saddam was gone...Pandora's box was opened to this. As horrible as Saddam was, WE could control him. Saw this coming 10 years ago.

We are no longer there. Though Obama is sending weapons and possibly air strikes from us. Yes, our anti Iraq war President said this. IMO: Stay the hell out of it. Enough is enough.... And Iran sees opportunity....

Obama is sending troops. Today he is acting like a president, not the leading Democratic National Party leader. Kudos to him. I know some think we should stay out of it. We should have made that decision when Saddam had his horrible handle on the situation. We should have let it be. Maybe we should go irritate those few caribou and get our own oil now?

275 troops to protect the Embassy and another 100 troops on standby in a nearby country.

yes. Today. That opens them up for it not to be a big deal when they add the more I believe they need. When one gets killed we will be in full on. I think it was the same reason we sent 600 or so to Ukraine. As sitting ducks to allow easy entry when they choose. I assume you saw a new report regarding the 100. If so it has started already.

This is just like Vietnam all over again. Just like Saigon. Send in a few "advisers" and that's all it will be. Yeah right. The higher gas prices go, the more money Obama's Muslim friends make. Actually, this is all a distraction from the scandals going on at home. If this guy was a white Republican...heck...even a black female republican, he would have been impeached by now.

I just saw a news report that Obama was actually involving congress leaders today. Clinton was impeached over a lie regarding his personal life. What is going on with this administration is nuts. You are right. If Obama was any other thing other than our first black president he would be impeached.
Iraq feels like a huge failure at the moment. Its not cutting our losses and running. Unless I am unaware we had some sense of success there. You just don't take all your support and run. Lets not pretend we could not stay there with whatever terms we wanted. We had just completely changed their make up with war. Who actually was going to say boo to us?

I think it was the same reason we sent 600 or so to Ukraine. Thanks to that, plus the support from the EU, Ukrania is now leaded by a native fascist party.

Yes, the whining peace loving Dems, who were anti Iraq war continuing to send troops. They could have gotten our people out of the embassy and made tracks...but nope. And of course typical Obama Admin style...it is Bush's fault....

And meanwhile gas prices are going up and up and up. Of course if we had drilled for oil like Bush was doing before Obama stopped it and if we had built the Canadian pipe line we could rid ourselves from foreign oil and even sell oil to our allies and put the Muslim enemies out of business. But of course Obama doesn't want to do that to his people. He wants energy prices to "necessarily skyrocket."

Daryl....that phenomenon began before Obama. And it continues. WHY do we give Big Oil huge subsidies when they make money hand over fist? Think about that. They have a million excuses to raise prices including "war". They have plenty of resources to tap from. A whole different topic to discuss.

Canada announced this week they will build a pipeline to their west coast and the oil will now go to the orient since we will not approve the pipe line here.
