I also think they're biting more than they can chew... a long tour which doesn't include Europe, Asia and south America which are all bigger markets for them than the US and Canada. Also arenas? Good luck selling tickets with those prices without Joey, no promo and the lawsuit giving them bad publicity. Aero Vederci Baby at least had good videos promoting the tour with some irony. This is dead. Hate to say it, but no one gives a crap about Joey except the die hards like us. And even most die hards aren't going to want to miss out on a final chance to see them.

People at work were talking about this tour today, it's definitely creating a buzz in the rock world.

TBH, I've enjoyed Joe's solo shows and the Whitford/St. Holmes shows more than the Aerosmith shows over the last decade or so. And without Joey in Springfield in 2019 it was lacking bigtime. But like an Irish funeral, I'm going to go kick back a few(perhaps more than a few at one show but not all) and pay my respects. I hate to admit to being needy of closure but sometimes my human side prevails over my android being.

Agree, most people only know of Steven and Joe.

I remember back in the day when they were strung out on drugs (and even after) when Steven would forget lyrics or mix up the verses. But the rhythm section (LI3) would carry on seemingly flawlessly. That’s what drives me nuts about hearing “Steven is a perfectionist”. Maybe that is partially true, but I recall him screwing up more things than the LI3. Perhaps that just goes with being lead singer.

So... standing pit tickets and seated tickets in the front area are being sold as VIP packages www.aerosmith.com/vipLove the band, but this is bullshit. It's a bunch of random crap thrown in to drag the price up. Here's what you get for the "AEROSMITH THX CERTIFIED PIT VIP EXPERIENCE" "Watch the show from the general admission PIT located within the Aerosmith stage - THE most up close and immersive view of the show" - the one thing a fan would really want "Invitation to the Aerosmith "Peace Out" VIP lounge" - who the fuck cares about that? "Exclusive viewing of the Aerosmith photo gallery - view iconic photos from throughout the Band's historic history" - cool, but you can see plenty for free online, not exactly the thing to charge extra for "Light snacks and drinks (2 drink tickets per person)" - as if food and drinks at concerts weren't crap you want to stay as far away as possible from "Photo booth + giveaways" - the chance to leave with crap you don't like, need, have any use for or any room in your house for (or in your backpack if you're traveling, so you'll leave it in the hotel room and they'll throw it into the garbage) "Commemorative Aerosmith VIP laminate" - okay, this is actually cool... it's a nice little memory that doesn't take much space "Crowd free merchandise shopping opportunity" - good joke, think anyone can still afford merch after selling a kidney to afford the ticket? --- That being said, if the Aerosmith shows are anything like Joe's recent shows, they're going to be a fucking incredible experience for a fan. I just hate the packaging useless crap along with the concert ticket just to drive the price up tactic.

IDK... it's true Steven and Joe are the main show for most people but Joey and Tom really carry the performances imho and they give the band a very peculiar and distinct sound, so does the pairing of Joe's loose guitars to the more classically trained Brad.
If you change the recipe is no aerosmith anymore. Joey's solos have always been well received, he is very charismatic even for casual fans. Steven reached an unusual vocal peak in 2014-15, then he remained good until his solo tour then understandably got old and worn Out. it's OK he's still a rock god and no one would want to replace him.

GnR, Beyonce ($3500 VIP), and I'll mention them again...Queen, who will not allow resale over face price and so many others do this now. Only way to stop it is for people not to buy, but they do. Since the catwalk became the thing I prefer to be halfway back in the arena anyway so that the whole show is in front of me.

I'm all for squeezing scalpers out, but with the the early indications of pricing, it will likely pay off to be patient. At Fenway I had more tickets than I could unload and wasn't able to get back half of what I paid for them so early Christmas presents. Although, after they showed up in Maine demand went up and I was able to sell 2 of them for about 70% of face.

Because of that though I likely will wait on tickets as well. I’ll check Friday and see how things look but will probably wait until the week of the show.

If you're willing to pay towards the top prices, tickets should be fine to get. If you want more towards the cheaper ones, you may be better off buying early. This is based off how Springsteen tickets and drops worked. Bigger markets secondary prices didn't plummet either.

I had a decent club level ticket for Springsteen and actually lost a little $ when I had to sell it last minute. That show sold out immediately. I don’t expect demand for Aerosmith to be that high given the prices. I do think with the way tickets are priced the cheaper seats will go first. I don’t really even want to be super close but won’t do the nosebleeds either. I’ll be looking for lower level, maybe a section or two over and maybe about halfway up. Good view and sound. I’d comfortably pay $200 for that or maybe a little more, but it seems like prices will be double that out of the gate anyways. I don’t go to many arena shows these days, but I had that ticket to Springsteen and also have one for Clapton coming up. I don’t see demand for Aerosmith being higher than those shows but their prices are from what I can tell.
